The Biggest Logistics Support Center of Europe and the Middle East in Istanbul
The Logistics Support Center was established under the IMM Support Services Department, Directorate of Business, to primarily coordinate all work in case of disaster and similar situations from a single point and meet the needs of units under IMM. The Logistics Support Center, which started to operate in Halkalı in 2006, was relocated to its new premise in Alibeyköy in 2014. The renovated Logistics Support Center indicates the importance given by IMM to our city by its outstanding features and vision.

The base of the Logistics Support Center is established on land with a total area of 30,000 m2, including an indoor space of 20,000 m2, and it consists of 9 units in total: 3 main warehouses, 1 building for vehicles, and 4 administrative offices. The Logistics Support Center is the biggest complex of Europe with a parking lot of 9,000 m2, storage area of 4,500 m2, and a kitchen space of 3,000 m2, as well many technical units.

The major task of the Logistics Support Center of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality is defined as meeting all kinds of urgent needs of the public, primarily food and shelter, in case of emergency. The Logistics Support Center is well equipped to respond to needs such as food, drink, tents, blankets, portable kitchens, portable toilets, aid packages, and portable generators.

Storages for Basic Needs
Center of High Standards in Storage
Having a high food production capacity, the Logistics Support Center includes 3 different storages established on an area of 4,500 m2 and with a capacity of 750,000 packages. The storage areas consist of dry food storage with an area of 3,000 m2 where materials of food production unit and Social Facility are stocked, a disaster storage with an area of 1,000 m2, and cold storage with an area of 500 m2, formed by cool, cold, and shock sections.
